defeatDD Poo Haiku contest winners announced

defeatDD.org has announced the winners of its Poo Haiku contest.

Here is one of three winning haikus:

Fact: Diarrhea

defeatDD.org’s was not the first Poo Haiku contest. Houston Chronicle science reporter Eric Berger invited the readers of his SciGuy blog to submit their favourite “Pookus” in 2009. But the first contest was probably the one hosted on “Puru” Dave Praeger’s PoopReport back in 2001.

defeatDD.org is an advocacy and resource web site promoting simple solutions to control diarrhoeal disease. It is an initiative of PATH, a Seattle-based international non-profit organisation promoting appropriate health technologies.
