South Africa – People need water, houses and toilets

The total eradication of the bucket system and the provision of clean water and proper houses remain elusive to many South Africans.

Statistics South Africa yesterday released results of a survey conducted last year.

Despite numerous promises since 1994 that the much-loathed bucket system would be totally eradicated, 12percent of the people in the Free State still rely on the system.

In Gauteng 11,6percent use pit latrines, 1percent of people still use the bucket system, and 1,6percent have no access to toilets.

  2. african people need water pumps, soil for vegetation so maybe in the future thay can become less reliant but a productive civilization. To be closer with God, they need to have a belief sytem, transportation to and from the water pumps rather than suffer carrying it in the hot climate plants that imune in the climate, like a countries climate compared will be the answer. they need brain food, to learn, they should learn english so they could be guided and learn. They need trees for more oxygen, we need to build a productive civilization because I feel maybe they don’t know how.
