Nepal: Students suffering due to lack of toilets

[For the past 4-5 years, some 1,300] students of a secondary school in Saptari district are compelled to visit bushes and river banks for defecation due to lack of toilets in the school.

[...] A toilet constructed in the school with support from the Government of Germany is in a dilapidated condition. Former student of the school Parvez Alam told that only the teachers and staffs of the school use the toilet. A student Neelam Kumari told that told that the students are compelled to leave their classes and go to a river 500 m far from the school for toilet purposes.
