USAID HIP Webinar – WASH Friendly Schools, Sept 16, 2010

You are invited to a webinar hosted by the USAID Hygiene Improvement Project (HIP) on WASH Friendly Schools, on September 16, 2010, 10 am Eastern Daylight Time (New York, GMT-04:00)

The desire to address the critical need for water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in schools is gaining momentum worldwide. The lack of clean drinking water, toilet facilities for girls and boys and good hygiene practices in schools has a negative impact on the health and cognitive abilities of the entire school population, leads to absenteeism and affects girls especially hard.

This webinar will highlight HIP’s experience fostering a supportive environment and models for WASH-Friendly Schools in Madagascar and Ethiopia and materials developed to help schools become WASH-friendly.

If you can’t join us for this event, a recorded version of the webinar will be available on HIP’s website
